Danny Vera, the Dutch singer-songwriter, most known for his distinctive Americana sound, was born in 1977 and has been writing songs about life, love and death since his teens. He boosts "New Black and White" as a new genre of original music and has positioned himself as a tattooed, dapper, gentle outsider.
After one year at Holland’s 'Rock Academy', Danny was offered a record deal in 2002. His first album, 'For The Light In Your Eyes' (2003), was very popular in Turkey, allowing the single 'My Confession' to reach the number 1 spot. Two more studio albums followed, but it wasn’t until 2009 when Danny released 'Pink Flamingo' when things started going really well. Asked to serve as the house band for popular TV show 'Voetbal Inside' (RTL), playing mostly covers, Danny and his band reached over a million viewers each week. This new-found audience discovered his own music and records, and as they say, the rest is history.
In march 2019 his single 'Roller Coaster' ended up on Dutch radio stations and in the Dutch charts, giving him his first hit song, resulting in sold out tours in theaters and clubs. Danny has toured and released new music every year and plans to continue to do so.
